Research Description
Thomas’ research focuses on the development of advanced control strategies
for low-frequency seismic isolation of the ET-CRISTAL prototype. It is carried
out in the context of next generation gravitational wave detectors such as
the Einstein Telescope.
Several control strategies are investigated, including LQG and H∞ approaches,
together with sensor fusion techniques. The implementation is first performed
on a model and then verified experimentally on the prototype.
