Research Description

François’ research focuses on resonance tracking and experimental continuation
using phase-locked loops (PLLs). By using the PLL as a feedback control system,
he exploits phase information to robustly track resonant operating points under
varying system dynamics and excitation conditions.

This framework enables automated resonance tracking and systematic experimental
continuation, providing control-oriented tools for testing, identification, and
characterization of vibrating structures in both linear and nonlinear regimes.
