Research Description
Hemendra’s research work is focused on developing high-resolution sensors for active seismic isolation systems in 3rd-generation GW detectors.The sensor’s designs combine long-period, high-quality factors, mechanical suspensions coupled with sub-pm resolution homodyne quadrature Michelson interferometric readout.
The sensors have been integrated into the in-vacuum E-TEST prototype, a novel solution of seismic isolation system proposed for the Einstein Telescope
